SMR Product Plan

ATOMFUSE SMR in the first phase, develop a PWR to test all the technology we need in nuclear sector. In the second phase, develop a laser fusion-fission hybrid reactor (LFFH), which combines laser-driven inertial confinement fusion (ICF) with fission processes to generate energy. This serves as a bridge technology, leveraging near-term feasibility to produce revenue and validate components. In the third phase, transition to a pure HB11 fusion reactor, based on hydrogen-boron-11 (p-¹¹B) aneutronic fusion, for cleaner, unlimited energy production. This roadmap aligns with emerging trends in fusion, where hybrids accelerate commercialization by addressing net energy gain challenges.

Transition to HB11 Fusion Reactor

Once LFFH validates laser tech and generates cash flow, pivot to HB11: laser-accelerated protons bombard boron-11 targets for aneutronic fusion (p + ¹¹B → 3α + 8.7 MeV), with DEC for 80% efficiency.
Core Mechanism: Picosecond lasers (>10 PW peak) create plasma blocks to accelerate protons, triggering non-thermal fusion in solid targets. 2025 experiments (e.g., Osaka LFEX) show 10¹¹ alpha particles/pulse, with avalanche effects amplifying yield. Feasibility is medium (TRL 3-4), as Q remains low (~0.01%), but simulations predict Q>100 with laser upgrades.
Business Approach: Leverage hybrid profits for HB11 R&D. Start with component sales (lasers, targets) for $150 million/year revenue, funding full plants. Capital costs: $3.7 million/MW at scale; LCOE < $50/MWh
